THE NEXTMEN Vs. GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB

DJ and production duo The Nextmen asked me to create the artwork for a collaborative LP they were making with UK reggae band Gentleman’s Dub Club. As it was a ‘Vs’ LP, the brief was to create something that references old school boxing flyers and posters. I enjoyed illustrating the ‘gentleman’ boxers, and the ‘Pound for Pound’ logo was simple and bold to reflect the heavyweight nature of this collaboration!
I’d always been a fan of Bens design work primarily through his work for the ‘Nice Up’ label and so was really happy to get a chance to work together on our ‘Pound For Pound’ project with GDC. Ben smashed it. Got the vibe and tone immediately. We’re very proud of the finished product and the fresh artwork was the icing on the cake!! Big up Mr Menter.
