Afrika Eye

I was commissioned by Afrika Eye Film Festival at the Watershed to create publicity materials for their annual, weekend-long programme of films, workshops and music from across Africa and the diaspora.
All editions of the eight-page A5 brochure share a common style, but each has individual flourishes to reflect the content of that year’s programme. I also produced posters, flyers etc for each year, designed in a complementary style.
Ben's work for Afrika Eye has been outstanding. He captures the full essence of the festival through his designs, creating beautiful and evocative brochures and posters that undeniably serve their purpose - to attract people to our festival! He jigsaws content together clearly and seamlessly and his creative eye captures the excitement of what is in store for our audiences. Practically, Ben is a blessing to work with. He approaches the brief with imagination and sensitivity, efficiently responding to feedback on drafts and clearly communicating what he requires from us along the way. He doesn't just design - he collaborates. And by the time the finished product is with us, we feel immensely proud of what has been created.
